Greetings & Salutations!
SoN is thrilled and delighted (and lots of other adjectives as well) to
be heading back to Colorado this weekend for what promises to be a trio
of gigs to remember.
Tomorrow night we make our third stand at the Silverthorne Pavilion.
Last year, we sold the place out and had an amazing show. This year, we
hope to top ourselves. How, you ask? Why the generous application of
pyro, of course. Oh, and a spread of Floyd tunes ranging from Piper to
Division Bell, as well as a few tracks from Clarity, copies of which
will finally be available to the good people of Silverthorne after a
couple years' worth of teases.
Saturday we return to Mahogany Ridge in Steamboat Springs. It's what the
folks in Spinal Tap might refer to as an "intimate venue," but if our
Steamboat friends pack the place like last time, the collective energy
just might burn it down (in a good way.) We'll also be doing an
unplugged set earlier that night at the Steamboat Mountain Theater, a
fund-raising event for the Lift-Up housing project.
And finally, Sunday evening we will play Denver for the very first time
with a show at The Oriental Theater. Local prog rock gurus Pindral will
be opening, and they've been fervently spreading the word among Denver's
Floydian fanbase, so we're looking forward to making an arse-kicking debut.
For the Friday and Sunday shows, we will be joined on stage by sax
player Dave Laub, who also worked with us on last Spring's Colorado run.
